So this weekend I got busy whipping up a sweet lil' outta the blue gift for my sister.
Mama had a t-shirt that she gave me to "do something with."

Do You Know Me??

Hey Ya'll,

It's Friday!!!
And...my better half is still battling it out with that stupid stomach virus!
Don't get me started on that....

So I've sat, stood, walked, cleaned, & snacked while thinking about this lil' blog of mine today.
I've thought of how I want it to be & how I want to be...
I've been thinking ya'll!
Anyways, I decided to sit down & tell ya'll about me.
So here goes nothing & please feel free to comment (nicely of course) & introduce yourself :)

ME

I love the Lord

Jacob calls me Mama & has for 15 & 3/4 years (he's 6'2" & a solid steel 200lbs)

Terry married me after 3 years & that was 16 & 3/4 years ago

Diane birthed me 1st...before she birthed Crystal (I still tell everybody she's older)

I love my family very, very dearly

I'm 40 something

I have my son but thanks to a severe case of anemia (whole 'nother post) I wasn't able to have a 2nd child

I'm from GA...go dawgs

My Mama's my hero...she's been through more than most could even imagine! She raised 2 kids & took care of her daddy & sisters & brother....she's the very BACKBONE of our family!!!!

My son is my heart & one of my best friends...we've been through a lot...A LOT together

He has my smarty mouth & my sarcastic ways BUT you will not...WILL NOT get to mess with me with him anywhere near by!

I have an imagination...ask my ma!

I need to go on a diet, I'm not even close to 300 lbs but in my minds eye I weigh 500 lbs

I'm not a girly-girly, tried that but I forgot where my make up is

My favorite color depends on what it's the color of...I don't like certain color blue in a shirt but I have that same color pair of shoes...go figure & they are a little sparkly too...go figure

I am a Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Phlebotomist, & Administrative Assistant

I quit my job one day so that I could start my own lil' business

God put dreams in my heart & He's bringing them to pass!

I'm from the South born & raised with an accent & all BUT, I ain't stupid or any other rude, ugly thing folks think of us down here

I love dt. mt. dew....way...WAY too much

I don't drink water unless it's flavored

I love yard sales, crafting, diy-all kinds of stuff

I say ain't, probably too much....shoot I know I do

I hate negativity, it gets on my nerves

I love spending Saturdays with Mama, Jacob, & Crystal going from yard sale to yard sale

My Grandpa was my other hero,  I miss him terribly....TERRIBLY

Answered Prayers

Hey Ya'll,

I'm not sure how many read my blog much less even look at it.
Nor do I know how many of you that are sneaking peeks over here believe in God.
I do believe,  I believe with ALL of my heart!
This week has been a trying week for us, but it's by no means the start of the trying...
Since December things for us have been trying & I've been doing A LOT of praying!
I have to be honest,  I don't pray like I should, not even sure I'm praying right.
But then again, I think I'm doing fairly good with it...Lord, I hope & pray I am anyways!
So anyways, on Monday night I prayed long & hard.  I wonder if God gets a lil' tired when I get started..
I can be a lil' long winded, really!
So Monday night I prayed & talked with the Lord.
I ask him to take me by the hand & lead me, show me, tell me what I need to do about things I've been dreaming of doing.
I thanked HIM for putting these dreams in my heart & for bringing them to pass.
Tuesday morning I woke up to a....I can't think of the perfect words for it!
Our money since December has been tight & put on what we HAVE to have!
Tuesday I woke up to a frill so to speak that we'd had to give up for a lil' while.
I heard a sound 2 rooms away...I was laying in bed sick with that stupid virus & heard this sound!
I came up from the bed & slowly dashed into the living room to my husband.
I explained to him, then my Mama, about my praying so hard & asking for God to take me by the hand.
My husband was a lil' suspicious, why I don't know. He's seen God at work in our lives MANY times before, especially the day I gave birth to our son!
I mean that very day the doctors told him to decide who he wanted to save...me his wife or our son who he'd loved for 9 months already!
So his being suspicious kinda threw me ya know...
Mama on the other hand, well she knew it was God!  She knows His power
My son, well he just said "Ma, " & I just smiled & pointed up!
God, He's always been with me, with us & I know that. But now, now I know what He wants me to do!
I pray that He will continue to hold my hand & lead me so that I can do everything the right way & pleasing to Him!
SOOOO, ya'll better get ready cause God's gotta plan for me girls & boys!
Okay, so I'm getting off my sermon wagon ya'll.  I just wanted to share with ya'll how Great & Wonderful
God really, really is & can be if we just let Him!

Hey Ya'll,

So have I mentioned a stomach virus running wild in GA???
Yeah, it hit our house Saturday & today I was finally able to get up & leave home on my own!
BUT, now it's reared it's ugly head & smacked my husband right in the .....well you already know where ;)
So my child...our teenager...he's 16 & since I birthed him he's mine...you know how that works.
Anyways, he came home last night, first night home since Friday & today I had to take him back to Ma-Ma's :(
He's okay being with my mama, but I mean helllooooo, I'd like to have a few minutes with him before his
Spring Break is up.
Oh well, I guess I'm off to pout for a minute then shake it off & take care of the sick.
So, if you hear of the virus coming to a town near you....RUN!!!!

Hey Ya'll,

I hope ya'll had a Blessed Easter!!
My Easter went south on Saturday unfortunately :(
On Saturday I headed out with my mama & son to do some quick Easter shopping.
I say quick because I wasn't feeling the greatest in the world!
Anyway,  once we were inside the store I noticed I felt a lil' funny...not funny ha-ha either!
Out of nowhere we run into a family member who's just moved back home after ??? years,
in all honesty at this point I'm not giving 2 hoots.
Not that I'm getting to see her but about the time she's had since she's been home..this is when it kinda turned into a LOT of blah, blah, blah!!
Minutes later things got worse...WORSE I say & today is the 1st day I've felt like leaving the bed for longer than 2 minutes at the time!
I did get to go see mama & my son on Easter but that was from a distance with me sitting in the car & them leaning in my direction.  And,  it was for all of 10 minutes if that!
BUT,  I still thank the Lord above that I was able to do that!
Now,  I just have to talk my son into coming back home sometime in the near future :)
He took refuge with my parents not that I blame him!
So I pray each of ya'll had a Blessed Easter & every day for that matter...I also pray the stomach virus skips our house for the next 100 yrs!

Hey Ya'll,

So I gotta ask,  how are the eggs coming??
I remember coloring eggs for the egg hunts,  really it wasn't that long ago.
Dye would be every where!! Especially on us ;)
Then we'd hold our breath that we made it to Ma-Ma's house without cracking every single egg along the way!
I love Easter & the Lord,  but I think ya'll already know that :)

Up & Running

Rainy day in GA

It's the week of Easter :)
Today it's raining & tomorrow we're gonna be having our Easter snap...
it's gonna be cool here one more time before Summer slams us.
I'm excited to see the family all together & our lil' babies hunting eggs ;)
And let's not forget eating Mama's delicious cooking...did I say I was excited :D
So we've been having internet issues.....
AND NOW,  now that I'm finally on the internet,  I'm having issues with the computer :(
So please bare with me ya'll, don't run off & leave me.
As soon as I get these problems handled I will be flooding ya'll with pictures!!!

Sunshine In GA!

So, it's been a beautiful day here today,  thank You Lord!
Okay, I sat down with my mind on task for this post...
the television was on & well......
So, let me just say, I'm not...NOT, a big history buff (at all!!)
But, I do love watching a lil' show called Georgia Traveler.
Yes, it's on Georgia Public Television.  A channel I hated as a child!

We all 3 got some really good deals!

Tomorrow's Saturday! I'm So Excited!

Hey Ya'll,

I'm super excited this evening!!
First, we had another Beautiful Blessed day here in South GA!
Second,  tomorrow is Saturday & the 1st Saturday of the month....
what does that mean???
YARD SALES!!
We will start our morning on The Boneyard...our towns gathering place so to speak.
Each Saturday we go there to see what people have up for grabs.  It's a huge yard sale spot really.
There can be anywhere from 4 or 5 tables set up to 20 set up.
Folks bring out their "junk" they want to get rid of so that others (me) can shop around looking for bargains!!
Once we leave The Boneyard we head for the yard sales advertised in the paper or on signs posted around town.
Some Saturdays we hit the jackpot & get some super duper deals & Mama's Tahoe is filled to the brim.
That's what I...we are hoping for for tomorrow ya'll!
I repeat I am Excited!!!!
I've already got the classifieds section of the newspaper in my pocketbook & we've already looked for the signs.
Now all I have to do is check out the yard sale pages on Facebook for our lil' town & look for any yard sales advertised on there & we will be set!!
I'm grinning a big toothy grin just typing this out,  I can hardly wait.
I am gonna do my very best to take pictures of any & every thing we get tomorrow so that I can share them with ya'll :)

Well here in GA, we've been enjoying & soaking up the beautiful sunshine & 85 degree temps!!
It's been so nice here thank the good Lord above!
I have been moving & shifting things around on here,  not sure if you even noticed but, I did.
I have finally set up a tab for shopping :)

What Was I Thinking....

Hey Ya'll,

Well I know that I haven't been getting the posts posted every day....I do apologize.
But, I am in the process of trying to get a business up & running...it's running me more than me it!
I've been trying to get some pieces together to have displayed & (Praying Hard) sold in a local store here.
(feel free to Pray right along with me ;) )
However,  for some reason...I'd say conspiracy against me, I've been stuck on Pinterest!
I don't go on there that much. I do go at least every other day BUT I DO NOT,  I repeat DO NOT build my wardrobe, meals, or day around it.  Not that there's anything wrong with that mind you.
Anyway, when I do go on there looking I take it all in,  I soak it all up.
I look at the recipes & most of the ones I want to lick the screen over call for a $100 grocery trip & that's just for that one recipe.
 I look at the cute recycled clothes & wish I was a skinny something.
I look at the stuff for the house & well...I wish for the house in the picture & the millions it took to get it to look like that.
BUT today.....today was different!
I fell in love with a pair of jean capris that some talented soul had prettied up using patches.
Pretty patches,  colorful patches....oh those capris how I'd love to have a pair exactly like them.....
Sorry,  I gotta little caught up there.
So I not having the patches, the colors, the jean capris, the artistic ability of the other lady...you get the picture here I'm sure.
I got busy using a pair of pants that was a little too short for me & got busy!
Dear Lord,  what was I thinking????
